Our Band

BlueMudbone was originally formed in 2019 and by a group of four Mineola HS graduates.

We perform locally at churches, various music venues, and special events. We are currently the House Band for The Beckham Hotel in Mineola Texas.

The band’s music is made up of 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s acoustic rock, blues, bluegrass, gospel, and country.

We don’t just play music—we bring folks together for a good time, with plenty of crowd singalongs.

Joe Williams

- Guitar, mandolin, vocals -

A retired bank CEO with over 50 years of gospel harmonies, singin’ first with his kinfolk in The Williams Family Trio, then later with The Canaan-Heirs Gospel Quartet.

Jay Horton

- Guitar, banjo , vocals -

A retired Methodist minister with a past life in Houston’s music scene, playin’ with his band Sundog Weaver.

Roy Dean

- Bass guitar, vocals -

A retired railroad man, new to the stage but layin’ down bass lines like he was born to do it.

Born in Mineola, raised in Amarillo, and made his way back as fast as he could. He’s been playin’ his whole life—percussion, piano, brass—you name it.
